Titanic Model's Moving Day

I saw a great article in the newspaper about a 4th grade building a 20 ft model of the Titanic and I KNEW right thTitanic Models Moving Dayen and there I HAD to go see it!!

So I made an appointment with the teacher and visited the very next day.

It was a VERY impressive model-the biggest one I've ever seen!! At least built by a class of 4th graders anyway!

I then told the teacher that I give Titanic presentations and he immediately asked me to come back and give one to his class.

It was a fabulous day!! The kids were so eager to share all their knowledge and were very interested in every thing I presented to them. I asked my mom to help that day and I think she enjoyed it as well.

I asked the teacher what they were going to do with the Titanic and he said probably just junk it!! I couldn't believe it!! Junk the Titanic? Now you know I just couldn't let that happen!!!

So he asked the class if he could offer the Titanic to me-and they heartily agreed I would be the perfect person to take care of the Titanic model they had worked so hard on all year.

As you might guess, my husband Dan was NOT very excited about bringing this great big boat home!! But I did Titanic Models Moving Dayget him to see my way of thinking!!

So I got my family to come load it up on a trailer. It took my husband, son-in-law, and the teacher to get it on the trailer.

It was kind of fun to see people's reactions to our big boat as we drove by on the way home. Heads were turning everywhere!! It's just not very often you see a 20 ft Titanic going down the road!!

The Titanic rests in my backyard right now. And it does take up quite a bit of room! But it has just recently had an adventure of it's own! Read about it in my latest Titanic adventure!!
